Where are all the good project
ideas at KS3?
I was once in your shoes. Whether
that be a pupil looking to find more information to help with Technology
revision, or a teacher looking for the best possible way to inspire
and motivate pupils in Design and Technology.
Having had experience in schools from either side of the spectrum from
advanced to pupils with special needs, I found the same problem as you;
there is no decent information out there for you to pick up and use "off
the shelf" as it were.
Now, whether that is because no one has thought of anything (which I
highly doubt) or no one is willing to give away their fantastic ideas
(probably more likely!).In the rare case that people share their ideas,
I can guarantee that no one gives away decent worksheets to accompany
them.
Well I am putting an end to all this with this website. We are all here
for the same reason are we not? To inspire, motivate and encourage
pupils to achieve well in D&T. This website aims to do all that!
However, we all know that 2 heads or even 1000 heads are better than
one, so please make use of the Forum in this website where we can share
ideas or problems we encounter in the tough job we have as teachers in
today’s society.
I have a bank of KS3 and KS4 project ideas which have been honed over
many years, including pictures, schemes of work and some resources.
